Opening Friday, October 2 - Tara Snowden
New and recent mixed media collage work from Vashon artist and former Gallery 070 owner Tara Snowden. Snowden's seamless collage work recontextualizes found imagery, creating alluring portraits and new narratives. The exhibition will also include some new abstract works which highlight Snowden's heavily process oriented approach to art making. The opening reception will be held First Friday, October 2 from 6 - 9 pm at Hinge Gallery, 17635 Vashon Hwy SW.
New work from Brian Brenno - Opening First Friday, September 4th from 6 - 9 pm
Vashon Island artist Brian Brenno will be exhibiting new Northwest inspired landscapes and historic Vashon sites made from found tin cans. The exhibition opens Friday, September 4th from 6 - 9 pm and will be on view through September 26th. The artist will be present for the opening.

By Hook or By Crook Opening First Fridays, August 7 from 6 - 9 pm Over a dozen local artists work will be on display for the month of August including Linda Compton, Virginia Sager, Lin Holly, and more. In conjunction with the Sheepdog Classic being held September 10-13 at Misty Island Farms, Vashon Island Artists turned 5 foot Hickory Crooks typically used by Sheep Herders to gather their flock into unique works of art. Proceeds from the crook project benefit island youth organizations.
New Work by Jordan Timlake Opening Friday, July 3 from 6 - 9 pm
Jordan Timlake: In transit Opening First Fridays, July 3 from 6 - 9 pm Hinge Gallery will present new work from island artist Jordan Timlake. Timlake's latest body of work include imagery from her daily crossings to Seattle printed on heavy rag paper. Subtle moments captured. Hinge Gallery also carried Timlake's screenprint bags and other functional art items.
