"I had all sorts of questions and Brent took the time to help explain what would work best with the different paintings we would have framed. I highly recommend Hinge!" - Nick J., Yelp, 2014
Custom framing means expensive, right?
Framing is a collaboration! We work with our clients to select the perfect framing for every project and budget. The price of framing is primarily determined by two factors – the frame moulding selected and the size of the piece. We have a huge selection of frames ranging in price per foot.
Do I need an appointment?
No. Walk ins are welcome, but an appointment ensures availability to complete a design quote at a specific time.
What is your frame moulding selection like?
We have hundreds of mouldings to choose from in every style and budget. We work with about a dozen wholesale moulding vendors. If that sounds overwhelming, not to worry! We have the expertise and familiarity with our selection to help guide you through the design process.
What is the turn around time for a project?
It depends on the complexity of the project and moulding selected, but usually about three weeks. We will complete your project as soon as we receive and verify the quality of all project materials. If you need something in a rush, we have stock mouldings too, which allows us to turn around a project as quickly as 24 hours.
Are your materials archival?
All of our materials are 100% archival! We use acid free mats, foam core, tapes, and glues. We never take short cuts on the materials we use to frame your treasures. Framing should preserve objects for years to come, not damage them with harmful off-gases.
Can I bring in a frame from home to work with?
Absolutely! We can rework an existing frame. Sometimes you just a need to swap out a piece and add a new mat. We are happy to help.
Do you deliver?
Yes, anywhere on Vashon Island and in Seattle. For Seattle delivery boundaries, check with us.
