This First Friday Exhibition Opening from 6 - 9 PM! Cyra JaneSimulacra "Simulacra is the study of contextual syntax, as rendered in fine ink on birds eye maple. Each mural is woven directly onto the wall, and is the base structure of a conversation. The writing, in my own illegible handwriting, is simultaneously captured as dictated through phrases, sentences, points, subpoints, tangents, and footnotes. This is the first work that combines my formal studies in analytical syntax with a longstanding history of visual expression." New Exhibition!!John Anderson Join us Friday, July 1, 6 -9 in our new location for an exhibition from John Anderson!  A long time islander John Anderson's large scale photos have been exhibited at the Tacoma Art Museum and top galleries in Seattle.  Of his work, John says, “The wilderness that remains in the North Cascades and on the Olympic Peninsula is a doorway to another world. Jesse Johnson:  Writers May 6th from 6 -9 pm - Artist will be present. On May 6th, from 6 - 9, Hinge Gallery is pleased to present a new visual print series from Vashon Island author Jesse Johnson.  In his latest project, Johnson explores his relationship to famed and iconic authors, creating portraits out of their literary achievements.  This project is the culmination of months of exploration, the mastery of a previously unexplored computer program, and thoughtful conceptual choices.  The final result is a series of twelve portraits, available in a limited edition and on view throughout the month!  Hinge Gallery is located...

Hinge Gallery will be open Sundays in December!!!  Extra hours include 11 am - 4 pm.  We will be closed Thanksgiving Day and December 24 - January 4.
